Polynesian Village Room Categories

by Casey Morris on August 15, 2015

The Polynesian Village Resort has multiple different categories of rooms that can be booked. Be sure to check out the options and locations of each below. The buildings where the rooms are located are referred to longhouses.

Room Types:

There are 3 basic room types, each with sub-categories. This is another reason using a travel agent is beneficial, as we can help you choose what is best for you. Refer to the map below for locations of different room types.

Standard Room:

Standard Rooms offer these categories, which are based on views:

– Standard View: Prior to 2013, these rooms were referred to as Garden View Rooms. These rooms can include views of a pool, the marina, garden, monorail, parking lot or if you are lucky, a partial view of the Seven Seas Lagoon. The longhouses that have only standard view rooms are Fiji, Samoa, Niue and Rorotonga. These rooms are also scattered throughout Aotearoa and Tuvalu.

– Lagoon View: These rooms face the Seven Seas Lagoon. Since Magic Kingdom is just beyond the lagoon, there is a chance you can see part of the Cinderella’s Castle. You will not have a great view of the castle from this category of rooms, but it is possible to see a partial view of it which may be blocked by trees or some of the new villas. The standard rooms with lagoon views are only located in Aotearoa and Tuvalu longhouses.

– Theme Park View: These rooms face the Seven Seas Lagoon, but have an unobstructed view of Cinderella’s Castle. The standard rooms with theme park views are only located in Aotearoa and Tuvalu longhouses.

Club Level Room:

Club Level used to be called Concierge Level, but is the same thing. Here are the amenities that are included when booking Club Level:club level

All of the Club Level rooms are located in the Hawaii and Tonga longhouses.

– Garden View – Club Level

– Lagoon View – Club Level

– Theme Park View – Club Level

– 1 Bedroom Suite – Club Level

Villas:

– Deluxe Studio – Standard View: includes views of garden, parking lot, pool, or partial view of the lagoon. These standard view villas are located in Tokelau and Pago Pago.

– Deluxe Studio – Lake View: includes views of the Seven Seas Lagoon, and are located in Moorea.

Personally, I prefer the layout of the Deluxe Studio, as well as the location of their longhouses. The split bathroom is very convenient for 2 people to be able to get ready at the same time. Also, the pathway to the Transportation and Ticket Center is right beside the Pago Pago longhouse. Here are some photos taken in a Deluxe Studio with a standard view.
