Kona Cafe is located on the second floor of the Polynesian Village Resort, just off the monorail. It doesn’t seem to get as much attention as its neighbor, ‘Ohana, but it is certainly worth visiting!
The seating area is very open, you can see it just by passing by:
Here is a close up of the seating:
We ate breakfast here on our last morning of vacation. My husband and I decided to split the Tonga Toast, great decision because that is a lot of french toast!
Tonga Toast is sourdough french toast that has been stuffed with bananas and then rolled in cinnamon sugar. It comes with a strawberry compote that you can drizzle over top, along with your choice of bacon, ham or sausage.
Here is the opposite view, prior to cutting into it:
And cross section:
Don’t forget that strawberry compote, it goes so well with the banana stuffing!
There is a full kids menu, but my kids are just not big breakfast eaters. They just wanted jelly biscuits:
The breakfast was delicious, but next time I think we might try dinner here. Take a look at the menu, it looks amazing!
Of course I would not forget to show the most important part:
As always, here are links to the full menus.
