DETAILED REVIEW

Caribbean Beach Resort is the “HUB” to the Disney Skyliner System. It is also the only moderate resort on the Skyliner, giving you quick access to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios! If you choose this as your resort, we will provide more detailed information for navigating that system!

CHECK IN

Although you can check in as early as you would like, your room is not guaranteed to be ready until 3:00 pm. The building where you check in is called Old Port Royale, which is also home to the food court and main pool area.

The Old Port Royale complex has been reimagined as a new port of entry for Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. It’s a centralized and convenient location for services, amenities and three new dining options. Guests arrive at Old Port Royale via an all-new porte-cochere, where they are welcomed into a colorfully reappointed lobby under an open-trussed roof and a colonnade with floor-to-ceiling drapes. Friendly cast members are waiting in this open and communal environment to help guests check in to their rooms, answer questions, offer advice to help them better enjoy their stays and more.

DINING

The table service restaurant is Sebastian’s Bistro, and is located in Old Port Royale. They only serve dinner, starting at 5pm. Advanced dining reservations available.

The food court, called Centertown Market, serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner. Here is the Official Disney Menu.

Spyglass Grill is located next to the Trinidad pool area.

Banana Cabana is the pool bar, offering a relaxing setting.

POOLS

There are a total of 6 pools (all heated), 1 hot tub and 1 water play area for the kids. Each village (where different buildings are situated in groups) has its own “quiet pool”, which looks like this:

**TIP: The village pools do not provide towels, so be sure to bring your own from your room. Fuentes del Morro pool does provide towels!

The feature pool, called Fuentes del Morro, is pirated themed and located just behind Old Port Royale. It has water cannons, water slides and a nice zero entry!

The water play area is extremely fun for kids under 48 inches tall!

Here is our video, where you can see a 360 degree view of the play area:

RECREATION

There is a jogging trail that surrounds the lake, which is just over a mile long.

Each village has a beautiful beach that includes lounge chairs and hammocks. There is no swimming allowed in the lake though.

Caribbean Cay Playground is located between Old Port Royale and the the Aruba/Jamaica buildings.

A “catch and release” guided fishing excursion is available. For more information and pricing of this excursion, click here.

Barefoot Bay Boat Yard and Bike Works – rent pontoon boats, Sea Raycers, Boston Whaler Montauk boats, bicycles or surrey bikes from 11:00 am – 5:00 daily.

Islands of the Caribbean Pirate Cruises – available for children ages 4 – 12. For current pricing and available times, click here.
