Quick Resort Overview

Resort Category: Value (many refer to this resort as a “Value Plus”, which is not an actual category, but due to the fact that it is the nicer of all the other Value Resorts) 

Resort Size: 1120 Family Suites (holds up to 6 guests), 864 Standard Rooms (holds up to 4 guests) 

Bed Options: Suites have 1 Queen bed, 1 Sofa Bed and 1 Table Bed; Standard Rooms have either 2 Double Beds or 1 King Bed 

Transportation Options: One bus stop at the front of the resort, dedicated bus transfers to all Disney Property (must transfer buses to get to another resort) Also available is the Disney Skyliner!

Dining Options: Food Court, Pool Bar, Pizza Delivery 

Pools: 3 pools: The Big Blue Pool (Nemo Themed), Cozy Cone Pool (Cars Themed), Flippin Fins Pool (Little Mermaid Themed). None of the pools have slides. 

Overall Vibe: Kids love this resort, due to the character theme throughout. (Themes include The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Fining Nemo and Cars) Great for families that want up to 6 guests in one room with the suite option!

Art of Animation opened in May of 2012. Since it is the newest Value Resort, it is the nicer of the Value options.

Resort Grounds
Pools

The Big Blue Pool – Just keep swimming in the largest hotel pool in all of Walt Disney World Resort. Inspired by the Disney•Pixar “splash hit” Finding Nemo, this huge, zero-entry pool contains over 308,527 gallons! For the little ones, Schoolyard Sprayground is home to pop-up jets, gushing water and more familiar faces from Finding Nemo, while Squirt’s Righteous Reef is a Nemo-themed playground perfect for kids who prefer to stay dry during playtime. For refreshing snacks and beverages, drop by The Drop Off pool bar conveniently located nearby.

Cozy Cone Pool – Check in and chill in cone-shaped cabanas around the Cozy Cone Motel swimming pool! Inspired by the Disney•Pixar mega-hit Cars, the this is the perfect place for families looking to cool their jets.

Flippin’ Fins Pool – Make a splash in the Flippin’ Fins Pool—or let your cares drift away as you lounge poolside. Based on the Disney animated classic The Little Mermaid, this 103,642-gallon pool features the “Under the Sea Orchestra” conducted by Sebastian and whimsical set pieces based on popular characters from the film.

Transportation

Bus – Take bus transportation to all theme parks and Disney Springs!

Skyliner – Take the Skyliner over to the main hub at Caribbean Beach, then transfer to the Hollywood Studios or Epcot Skyliner!

Room Types

The family suites can be either Finding Nemo, The Lion King or Cars themed.

  • 1 Queen Bed in the master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.
  • 1 Double-size pull down bed & 1 Double-size sleeper sofa in the living room area
  • 2nd FULL bathroom off the living room!
  • Kitchenette with microwave, toaster, coffee maker and mini-fridge.

The Standard Rooms only come in The Little Mermaid  theme.

  • 2 Queen Beds OR 1 King Bed
